How does the size of the ark relate to creation? Well, for one thing, both creation and the flood are recounted in the same book of the Bible (Genesis). For another, the ark preserved samples of creation—various kinds of breathing animals. For yet another, the flood helps explain the fossil evidence. We see various geological layers. One layer for example may be coal, with fossil animals in layers above and/or below. How would you get layers in a flood? Easy, the flood spanned months, and tidal action would still happen twice per day. There would be ample opportunity for layers to form both as the water increased and receded. The ebb and flow of tidal action was still in operation twice per day, and volcanic activity also played a role.
