Christine continued, “At Duckrey School (16th and Diamond) there is a new principal and he is very good. The Youth pastor at Epiphany went with me to talk with him and he was very interesting and supportive. We decided to have the 4th and 5th graders be dismissed 15 minutes early at the end of the day and walk them to Epiphany. After class they can walk home or be picked up at 4:15 PM. So happy this year to have the church recruiting Temple students from their church to help us! At Gideon School (2817 Glenwood) I had a lovely unplanned meeting with the principal and she was very supportive. Plans are to have Bible Class in the school immediately after school for grades 1-5. I have 4 helpers (one is a parent) lined up and hope to start this Thursday. I have no idea how many to expect but several children from Johnson Homes know me from the summer ministry so hope to have a good number. Kelly School at 28th and Cecil B Moore is on my wish list. I have sent notes and left messages and visited twice but as yet have not had personal contact with the principal. … I will have to insist on CRT at that school since all my schedule is filled for after school. Pray that we can reach that community through the school.
A few days ago, I put out a challenge to the Dartmouth College present, and received these words from Dave today, “Good move!! I live about 2 hours away. It is on Vermont border. To see my challenge to Dartmouth, go here: http://www.cr-ministries.org/blog/
Yesterday, Bouke from South Africa wrote, asking “how do I give you credit for all the help you have given me? … I see you have a logo, CR Ministries; may I put that up after my talks together with your web address acknowledging your help?” He appreciates some of our creationary booklets, and, if memory serves me, he plans to speak to people in Zambia.
